Not a quartz, nor an agate
I didn't want to make a page for every type of rock, so here's the rest.
1. Malachite

i went through the entire gem expo looking for the perfect malachite in budget and here we are.
i'm so happy with this one. so majestic (*︾▽︾)
2. Calcite

my mom bought it for my birthday :D well, i picked it out, and she payed lol
i found it in one of those "everything for x zł" boxes at the expo and the people selling it told us all about how and where they look for gems.
i would love to go gem-hunting one day :P
3. Grape agate

another one for my birthday. fun fact: it's not a agate.
it has the chemical structure of a quartz, but forms different crystals.
well, it's technically a chalcedony. idk read about it on wikipedia im not a chemist: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grape_Agate
4. Opal

my favorite gem. i only have the tiny ones. maybe one day i'll get a nice specimen but for now i don't wanna spend so much money on just one clod
also sorry for the photo quality i'm not a photograph and they're so tiny (the one in the first pic is around 1cm in it's widest point) i'll try to retake these one day
5. Chrysoprase

6. Selenite

it's got a very cool property: if you put it on a surface and look directly down at it, the image gets "projected" to the top of the gem.
if that makes sense. it's a bit hard to portray it through a photo, but trust me, it's mesmerizing.
7. Fluorite

yummy :P
gotta polish it a bit better
8. Dolomite

i found it on a metalworks wastedump on a trip i mentioned on my 27.04.2025 blog entry. the crystals aren't that big, but i'm still happy with this find
9. Chalcedony

it looks like freshly fallen snow AND it has a little crystal cave! two in fact
FYI i tried to clean up the dirty stuff on the tiny crystals but failed. idk what it is but. whateva.
